Jen P Harris
Jen P Harris (Brooklyn and Hudson, NY) makes formally driven paintings and works on paper that explore ideas about gender, sexual identity, and the self and other. Harris received her MFA from Queens College, City University of New York, and her BA from Yale University. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions across the East and West Coast. Among the awards she has received are a grant from the E.D. Foundation, the Robert C. Bates Traveling Fellowship; selection in the Drawing Center Viewing Program; the Maryland Artists Equity Foundation Exhibition Award; and a residency from the Vermont Studio Center.
Currently listed are watercolor and pencil works on paper from Harris's "American Kiss" Project.
